This is the most incredible motion picture (or not) of the year! Today, some iranian films are distributed all wide world, but some filmmakers seem disturbing the autorities of their country, then they are severely punished. It's interesting, isn't it? They discribed the complexity and questionning of their society with their sight, their images, their art. Their ideas fly away... sometimes ideas are downloading on usb, hiding in a cake, crossing frontiers. So, this is not a film but a little miracle! Lucky we are!
This isn't a simple lesson of cinema, this is a manifesto. Jafar Panahi dissects his work, his mind, his way of life and the creation state. Creation is action, an act of resisting, a question of life and death. Maybe his last desperate act, the ultimate creation of a man, an artist, when everything's forbidden...
This documentary film is on political, cultural and justice issues, of course, but the crucial point is: what is the future of iranian youth?
